Yahoo! search blog announced, on the Oct. 22, major improvements to their search engine. I tested and found changes to results for keywords important to QLogitek such as retail supply chain software, SaaS retail supply chain solutions, SaaS EDI, and hosted edi.
According to Yahoo! the major changes are improved search page load time,
improved perceived load time, and inline data URI images.

Google has been conducting some cutting edge research on how we scan web-pages, especially search result pages. Since I have been working on web-page/web-site designs for the last while I thought of sharing this video with you.
The following video clip shows in real time how a participant in one of their study scanned the page. And yes, the video is in real time! Amazing to see how fast the eyes move when scanning a page. The larger the dot gets, the longer the users’ eye pauses looking at that specific location.
